Character Art

I still have the first character I ever drew. It’s crap, but he’s real in this world. At that time (thanks in part to "The Neverending Story") I realized characters are nothing if only looked at as graphite smudges on the page. Our appearance and how others see us  is defined by the life we've lived. Characters cannot survive unless they too have memories and goals, have made mistakes and strive to be better. Characters must be fully realized and alive in our imagination before the first stroke of the pen is made on page or screen. Most importantly, they can’t exist unless someone cares about them. Characters are guides through fantastic worlds and companions on adventures. With this, I welcome the chance to do my part in bringing your characters into the world so people looking to get away  have someone amazing to get lost with. I am American citizen and Canadian Permanent Resident, so working on both sides of the border is not an issue. ​

Searching for forgotten trails leading to undiscovered adventures

​I've always felt more comfortable alone in the deep wilderness than in a crowd of people in the city. In the middle of nowhere, with only your wits, instinct and survival skills to go on you learn who you really are and just how small you are in this world. You are shown your place in the universe and how fragile you are when modern comforts and conveniences are left behind. This seclusion and serenity allow for me to focus my mind and senses on what's real in the world. That freedom then translated to ideas, which become stories in my books, films and research of the paranormal activity I encounter. The deeper the mystery, the deeper I'll trek into the wilderness to find an answer to the lost and forgotten worlds.

The trail up ahead is never clear and my destination always a mystery, but that's why I'm on this path — both in life and out in the unspoiled beauty of the wild.
